Paul's letter to the Ephesians contains two of the most profound prayers in all of Scripture.

His first request is astonishing. He prays that believers would receive "the Spirit of wisdom and revelation" so they might know God better. Paul knew that information alone could never produce transformation. God's people needed spiritual illumination.

That is still true today.
